Getting started with your
SMS-R1
Here is the USB installation of the printer driver.
Do you want to set up the printer afterwards for use via a LAN connection? Then watch the relevant instruction video (Step 6 | Instructional videos).

Download the SMS-R1 printer driver.
Unpack this (.ZIP) file and then run the Setup.exe installer. (Error while downloading? Right-click and select “Save as”)

Do you receive notification of the Windows Defender SmartScreen?
Click More info and select Run anyway

Go through the installation wizard where you select the desired Language and Length unit desired

Select the option Recommended for USB-installationand clickNext

Turn the printer ON and connect the USB cable to the computer. The printer will be installed automatically, then the printer driver installation is successful!

Tip: Keep your NiceLabel licence code in reach.

Go through the installation and select the option:

Enter your NiceLabel license key and click Next

Determine which software modules you wish to install and click Next
(If you have a PowerForms Suite licence and it concerns an installation on a workstation on which Automation will not run: uncheck the Automation module.)

Choose the location where you want to install NiceLabel and click Next

The software will now be installed. When the installation is complete, launch the application NiceLabel Designer by clicking the shortcut on your desktop..

You will now see the activation wizard:
At Activate license, click on Activate
At License Key, click on Activate
Fill in your details and click ActivateAre you going to activate a multi-user licence? Please click here

NiceLabel is now ready for use.

Perform the following steps:

Open NiceLabel Designer and goto File>Options

Click on tab Designer

At Opening modus selection option Display each document in its own window.
At Source printer settings selectoption Printer settings saved in the label .
