Medical machines and devices must be identified in accordance with various legislations and directives.
Also, from 26 May 2021, new directives have also been introduced for medical devices and appliances: the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR).
Part of these directives is the introduction of product identification rules, applicable to all manufacturers, importers and distributors of Medical Equipment and Devices.
In conjunction with the various classifications, product labels must also meet a number of requirements, and Rebo has always the right solution.
Everything in-house
Save costs, (delivery) times and are no longer stuck with high volumes. The software allows you to create your own label designs including your company logos, references to product pages and manuals through scannable (QR) bar codes.
Because you can easily add input fields and database-connections everyone can use fixed templates where the user only selects and/or enters the required data and then print uniform rating plates.
A fitting solution
In particular, the new MDR requires labels to be indelible. In addition, labels should be temper proof and permanently attached to the equipment, including on the difficult-to-adhere substrates with a low surface tension. These requirements can be tested by external authorised parties.
In addition, there are other factors that may be important for the use of the product such as resistance to chemicals, extreme freezing temperatures or extreme heat & autoclave applications.
